Making Mini Medics

We teach from a child friendly syllabus which is being nationally introduced to young children called “Flat Stan First Aid”.

 “Flat Stan First Aid” is an exciting concept for introducing 3 -11 year old children to 'Essential Life Skills', sessions will be taken by qualified first aid instructors Ellen Ansell & Emma Saunders both whom have primary school aged children and passionately believe in the importance of teaching first aid to children of all ages. They will cover the following topics in a fun and child led manner:

* What is first aid and who can deliver first aid
* When and how to get help (calling 999)
* How to check if someone is responsive / breathing
* What to do if you think a casualty is not breathing
* The choking casualty
* What to do if someone is bleeding
* What to do if someone suffers a burn

The Mini Medics will use specially designed, easy to use manikins and practice their skills on each other after seeing demonstrations from the instructors. This makes the workshops  fun & exciting as the children LOVE to ‘Have a Go!’ while learning very important life saving skills.

Our emphasis is on teaching the children first aid in a fun, enriching and innovative way.

The sessions will equip the children with the skills and knowledge needed to recognise a variety of first aid situations, how to deal with them and to summon help. Every child will receive the Flat Stan First Aid book, certificate and a Flat Stan sticker.

Prices vary according to group size - usually between £10-15
